Easton Nafziger scored two go-ahead goals for Prairie in the second period of play, but they couldn’t pull away, thanks to Calgary Hitmen prospect Brayden Tucker, who scored the tying goal twice in the second period. Tucker scored less than three and a half minutes into the third minute, taking advantage of a bounce to tuck away his hat-trick goal. Cam Hoose stood tall with 45 saves on 47 shots.

Oatman scored in the first to give DHA the lead, in the second to make it 2-0, and in the third to expand Delta’s lead beyond what Yale could make up. YHA pushed back in the third but couldn’t make up the gap as Jack Utsunomiya (29/31) held on to earn the victory.
OHA Edmonton (3/OT) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (2) U15
OHA Edmonton looked like the squad in the driver’s seat of the hockey game by the time their U15 clash against the Calgary International Hockey Academy hit the halfway mark. Goals from Kingston Ireland (1G, 1A) and Jacoby Cardinal had them two in front, they were outshooting CIHA by a good margin, and Brynley Nault had stood tall in OHAE’s crease. CIHA would break through, though, in the second period to get back into the game. Forward Lucas Beaudin had scored just one goal in his first seven games this season for CIHA, but coming into Saturday, Beaudin had 12 goals in his last 7 games and six in his previous two. He popped up big for CIHA with a goal in the second to cut the lead in half heading into the third. Calgary would score again in the third period to force overtime as they marched towards a comeback victory, and they even controlled the puck for the bulk of three-on-three action. Unfortunately for them, OHA Edmonton only needed one chance in overtime, and it was Marek Fetter who scored less than a minute into the extra frame to seal OHA victory.
